Looking back, I think those early Clones, as good as they were, felt very fragile due to the extra super articulation joints and being really thin. However, this mould was alot beefier and the more standard articulation meant that the joints wouldn't become loose or break. Curious 🤨

Hasbro got another name wrong AND his helmet wrong, yeah imma be honest an L figure off that alone. (imo) If I am paying 30-40$ (CND) I expect premium quality.

You can easily pull the rangefinder out, so that is basically a non-issue besides the very small peg hole it leaves it behind which you can fill easily with a spot of sticky tack or other filler. I've seen others also take a dremel to the helmet fin but I just left mine as it is, it doesn't bother me that much. I did pop the rangefinder out though, lol.

Superlative version. Easily works and worth a last purchase on the last clone mold 😂❤

Hey Steve. On the subject of TCW, there are some figures that have just come to mind. Rounding off the Lucasfilm 50th Anniversary Black Series TCW figures, are Anakin Skywalker and Clone Pilot Hawk. We've also got a couple of key learners in the ways of the force; Those being Ahsoka Tano (Seasons 3-6) and Asajj Ventress (TCW Movie to Early S3). Will you eventually review any of those?

I collect them, not a huge fan of the box sets, but at least in this case it's all new figures. The Return of the Jedi box that only had Mon Mothma as a new figure was a bit of a money grab, same with the figures that come with board games that you're never going to play 🙂

Well Steve, since you took inspiration from Steve Evans’ posts to get these in the first place, perhaps you should also take inspiration from his catchphrase and “let ‘em breathe” and get them out on display. I can tell from your video that you are desperate to see what they look like out of the packaging, so just enjoy them mate 😊

Happy recent birthday! My Retro "odyssey" started a fair few years ago with the idea of grabbing a couple of the First 12 to compare to my 70's Palitoy childhood originals. That idea went to shit the moment I spied all 6 scattered on a shelf in a random fashion on a very rare visit to Asda, to try to find them. It then took about 4 years for them to finish the First 12!! I grabbed the box set later on last year of the second 6, then proceeded to knacker several cards trying to remove that ghastly retro sticker. I then had to buy the set again. 😢 So, I have a lounge display of my First 12 childhood 70's 3.75, backed by the Retro 3.75 First 12 on card, the First 12 Black Series 6 inch figures in their most recent iterations on the vintage style stand that came with the Vader, and the First 12 Black Series 6 inch figures mint on card, all together. It's a First 12 SW Hoe-down!! I've also put all of the carded figures here, in Star Action's cheap, foldable acrylic cases, which really do elevate the display to the next level... it looks superb, even if I say so myself!! 😅

I like the Retro Collection (mostly) but I would've preferred if they'd used those 1999 sculpts and red and black Maul cardbacks and released those instead (and done the same for the Episode II and III sets as well); similar to what the TMNT figure line did recently when they rereleased the 2003 style figures on their original cardbacks. Still a great set though! 👌
